Children
Sunday Morning
During the 8:00 a.m. service children are dismissed from the sanctuary following Children's Time and meet for Sunday School. They return to their parents during the closing hymn.
Age-level Sunday School classes meet from 9:30 - 10:30 and from 11:00 - noon. Parents may either attend worship during these times or choose an adult Sunday School class.
Wednesday Evening
On Wednesday Evening our "Seekers in Sneakers" program begins with a catered meal at 6pm. All are welcome, a donation toward the cost of the meal is appreciated.
Children ages 2-3 attend "Wednesday's Children" at 6:30. Art, drama, play, and music help develop preschool skills. There is a 15 minute worship service at 7:30, after which children are dismissed to their parents.
Children age 4 through 4th grade choose two 30 minute activities. Current choices include Tae kwon do, Board Games, and Sign Language. At 7:30 they join the younger children for worship and are finished at 7:45.
Christian Cadets is a pre-youth group meeting for children in 5th and 6th grades. The group participates in a variety of activities designed for preteens to grow in fellowship and faith.
Summer
Vacation Bible School is held on five consecutive Wednesdays beginning in June for children age 2 through grade 6. Doors open at 7:30 am and breakfast is served. From 9-11:30 children rotate between Bible based classes including art, music, recreation, and storytime. Children ages 2-4 must be picked up at 11:30. Children who will be attending Kindergarten - 6th grade in the fall are served lunch and bused to an afternoon activity off-site. Activities have included parks, museums, and historic locations. Children return to the church by 4:30pm for an afternoon snack and should be picked up by 5:30pm.
