Washington School Partnership
Members from Broadway assist teachers at Washington Elementary School. Volunteers commit 45 minutes to an hour once a week to listen to children read, read aloud to children, or do other tasks as assigned by the teacher. Volunteers must complete a Child Abuse Information release form and be screened to participate.
Meals on Wheels
Volunteers from Broadway deliver meals to homebound residents on Thursdays during the months of January, April, and August. Time commitment is 11:15am-1pm every Thursday during the month. Volunteers willing to serve as one-time substitutes are also needed.
Mohm's Place
Volunteers serve and evening meal to homeless and near homeless people. A group from Broadway serves on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month. Time Commitment is from 4:30-7:00pm.
Red Cross Blood Drive
The blood drive is at the Senior Center on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Volunteers are needed to register donors as they arrive and serve refreshments as they finish donating. Volunteers are also needed to load the equipment and supplies at the end of the blood drive. Broadway provides the food served to donors at the blood drive in January. Volunteers are needed to donate and/or serve. Food can be dropped off at the church the day before the drive.
Phillip's Cupboard
Phillip's Cupboard is located in the basement of the church and provides non-food items to people in need. Donations of paper products, cleaning products, laundry supplies, diapers, and personal hygiene supplies may be delivered to the church office.
Food Pantry
The church maintains an emergency food shelf to meet short-term needs of people who have no where else to turn. Monetary donations and non-perishable food items are collected during worship on the first Sunday of each month.
