Dedication of New Memorial Tree Leaves
Last year, as a church, we added this Memorial Tree as a way of being able to remember some of those that had gone before us. We dedicated the first leaves on All Saints Sunday last year. Today on the second annual dedication of new leaves, we're going to take a moment as I read the names that we've added since last year and then I'll invite you all just to raise a hand as we offer a blessing over this this new these new leaves.
Will you join me by just raising a hand toward the memorial tree as we offer these words of dedication?
God, we give you thanks for all those who have come before us, who have shaped our path and provided an opportunity for us to continue to move forward in your work in this world. We ask that you help keep these folks whose names we just read. Hold us all in your loving arms in your holy healing name we pray. Amen
Broadway extends thanks to our chapter of The United Women in Faith who are the stewards of the tree. They make sure everyone is contacted and the leaves are engraved and placed.
