Last Week's Message - Blueprint for Community
Broadway Scholarships

Broadway Scholarships

Higher Education Assistance for Broadway's New or Returning College Students

Broadway is pleased to announce the opportunity to apply for fall scholarships and grants.  The Scholarship Team is accepting applications from now until April 25, 2026.  If you are a spring high school graduate and are considering some higher education, please take the time to read the qualifications for scholarships and grants.  All the information and application forms are available on the BUMC web site [broadwayunitedmethodist.com] or a paper copy may be picked up at the church office.

There are applications for current undergraduate college students, and even opportunities for someone returning to college as a full-time student after several years away from school.  Grants are also available and have a different set of criteria than scholarships, so make sure you check out all the possibilities!

Philip's Cupboard February Numbers

During February, the volunteers at Philip's Cupboard assisted 100 shoppers affecting 273 individuals.

Care and Share March Requesting

Care and Share is requesting packages of Ramen Noodles for their pantry shelves this month.  Donations may be left in the shopping cart outside the church office.

Basket Auction

As part of Broadway's fundraiser for the tower clock repairs, we will be holding a silent auction of gift baskets.  If you or your ministry or small group would like to put together a basket, please see Shannon, Kasey, or leave a message for them with the church office.

[Suggested Gift Basket Ideas]

Books, Books, Books!

Books that are ordered for small groups are usually ordered by the office.  Over time the couple of extra books we get for groups, or ordered books that don't get picked up, or even lost orders that are replaced then finally show up have accumulated and have overfilled the book cart. We would love to see these books used by anyone interested in expanding their faith.  The cart is parked outside the church office. If you see titles that interest you or might be helpful for someone you know, please take them - for free.
